01 What you get

Standard protocols, no lock-in.

No proprietary sync, no forced webmail — just the standards every mail client already speaks.

IMAP over SSL (993)

Your mailboxes sync over standard IMAP with implicit TLS, so read, unread and folder state stay in step across every device you use.

SMTP over SSL (465)

Send through standard SMTP with implicit TLS. Mail you send from a desktop or phone client is still DKIM-signed and authenticated on the way out.

On every plan

IMAP and SMTP are included on both Pro and Business, for every mailbox and every alias. There is no tier where you're locked into webmail only.

App passwords

Mail apps sign in with a separate, revocable app password rather than your login — so two-factor stays on your account and you can cut off one device without touching the rest.

Works in every client

Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, iOS and Android Mail — anything that speaks standard IMAP/SMTP connects with the same host and ports.

Webmail is optional

The full threaded webmail — search, labels, drafts, signatures, keyboard shortcuts — is there when you want it, but it's a choice, not a cage.

What are the IMAP and SMTP settings?+
Incoming mail uses IMAP on mail.supermailos.com, port 993, SSL/TLS. Outgoing mail uses SMTP on mail.supermailos.com, port 465, SSL/TLS. Your username is your full email address, and the password is an app password you generate in your security settings.
Why do I need an app password instead of my login?+
IMAP/SMTP clients sign in with a username and password directly, which can't complete a two-factor prompt. An app password is a separate, revocable credential scoped to one client, so your account keeps two-factor on and you can revoke a single device any time.
Is IMAP/SMTP limited to a paid tier?+
No. IMAP and SMTP over SSL are on every plan, for every mailbox and every alias. Whatever mail app you already use will keep working.
Do I lose the web interface if I use my own app?+
Not at all. The threaded webmail is always available alongside your mail app — they're two doors into the same mailbox. Use whichever suits the moment.

Keep the app you like.
