SuperMailOS vs Zoho Mail
Email done well,
without maintaining it yourself.
Zoho Mail is the email piece of a large, low-cost business suite, billed per user, where you publish and maintain your own SPF, DKIM and DMARC. SuperMailOS is email-first and per mailbox: aliases are free on every domain and deliverability is ours to operate.
SuperMailOS is hosted business email: we run the mail server, the sending IPs and the deliverability work, so there's nothing to self-host and no server to keep alive.

Where Zoho Mail wins
It's a whole suite
Mail plus CRM, docs and a big ecosystem under one login. If you want a single vendor for many tools, Zoho is genuinely compelling.
Very low headline price
Per-user mail plans are among the cheapest around, and a limited free tier exists for the smallest teams (as of 2026-09).
Mature admin & controls
Years of admin tooling, policies and integrations that a focused newcomer simply hasn't had time to accumulate.
Where SuperMailOS wins
Aliases are free and unlimited
Every role address — hello@, support@, billing@ — is a free alias on every domain, not another seat or a per-user cap.
Deliverability operated, not documented
Instead of pasting SPF, DKIM and DMARC into your DNS and hoping, we generate them from the mail server's own zone, verify them live before you can send, warm up new domains and parse DMARC into a dashboard.
Every domain, one inbox
Built for several domains converging into one place, each independently authenticated. Business covers unlimited domains on a single bill.
No suite you won't open
Email done well, without paying per user for apps a mail-only seat never touches.
What you get with SuperMailOS, on every plan
We run the mail server, so the parts other tools leave to you are simply included:
Deliverability is operated, not DIY
DKIM signs every message; SPF and DMARC are published from the mail server's own zone and verified live before you can send. DMARC reports are parsed into a dashboard, sending-IP reputation and reverse DNS are watched, and new domains warm up automatically.
IMAP & SMTP on every plan
Standard IMAP (993, SSL) and SMTP (465, SSL) with per-mailbox app passwords, so Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird or any client just works — the webmail is optional, not the only door.
A real threaded inbox
Conversations, instant search, labels, drafts, signatures and keyboard shortcuts — across every domain you connect, in one place. Reply as any address on any domain.
Cc and Bcc done properly
Full Cc and Bcc with privacy preserved: a Bcc line is only ever shown to the sender or a recipient who was themselves Bcc'd, and Bcc never affects threading.
Two-factor & session control
TOTP two-factor authentication and session management on your account, so a leaked password alone can't open your mail.
One-click DNS
Publish the records with one click on Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Hetzner or Spaceship — or copy-paste anywhere else. Provider tokens are used once and never stored.
Dark mode, everywhere
A genuine dark theme across the whole app and marketing site, tuned for contrast — not an inverted screenshot.
Which one fits you
If you want an inexpensive all-in-one suite and you’re comfortable maintaining your own email authentication, Zoho is a strong, honest choice. If email itself is the point — many domains, many role addresses, and deliverability you’d rather not operate — SuperMailOS is the tighter fit.
Questions people ask
On its paid mail plans, yes; the free tier has historically been more limited (as of 2026-09, check Zoho's current plan details). SuperMailOS includes IMAP (993, SSL) and SMTP (465, SSL) on every plan.
