SuperMailOS vs Migadu

Priced by people, not by how much you send.Migadu prices a whole account by daily volume: one flat price covers unlimited addresses and domains, with send and receive limits per day. SuperMailOS prices each mailbox (a person), with unlimited free aliases and no volume tiers on the bill. Both are honest models; which costs less depends on how many people you have and how much they send.

The short answer

Choose Migadu ifYou have many addresses or domains, few people, and modest daily sending. One flat price covers it all.

02 Honestly

Where Migadu is the better choice.

If any of these describe you, Migadu is probably the right call — and that's fine.

01

Address and domain abundance

One flat price covers unlimited addresses and domains. For one person with fifteen domains, nothing else here has that shape.

02

Very low price at low volume

Micro is $19 a year for up to 20 sends a day; Mini is $90 a year for 100.

03

A whole team on one price

Limits apply to the account, not each mailbox, so a small team that sends little shares one bill.

And where SuperMailOS is

01

The bill follows people, not sends

A launch day or a busy week doesn't push you into a bigger tier. You add a mailbox when you add a person.

02

Every domain in one inbox

A threaded web inbox where every domain's mail lands together, and replies go out from the address they came to.

03

Setup done for you

Records generated from the mail server's zone and checked live, DKIM on every message, gradual warm-up, and DMARC reports parsed into a per-domain dashboard.

04

API, webhooks and MCP on every plan

Read, send and react to mail from your own code or an AI assistant, with scoped keys you can revoke.

Which one fits you

A solo operator or a small team with many domains and modest sending: Migadu’s flat tiers are a very good deal. A team that sends steadily, wants every domain in one inbox, or would rather not watch a daily send meter: SuperMailOS.

SuperMailOS is hosted business email: we run the mail server, the sending IPs and the deliverability work, so there's nothing to self-host and no server to keep alive.

03 Switching

Switch in an afternoon. Keep your domain.

Your domain stays where you bought it. Nothing to install, and your old mail can come with you.

01

Point your domain

One click on Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Hetzner DNS and Spaceship. Anywhere else, we show you exactly what to paste.

02

Create your addresses

A mailbox for each person, and free aliases for everything else — hello@, billing@, support@.

03

Keep your apps

Use the web app, or Apple Mail, Outlook and Thunderbird over IMAP. An iPhone app is coming soon.

How much does Migadu cost?+
Migadu prices a whole account, not each mailbox, by daily volume: Micro $19 a year (20 sent, 200 received a day) · Mini $90 a year or $9 a month (100 sent, 1,000 received a day) · Standard $290 a year or $29 a month (500 sent, 3,000 received a day) · Maxi $990 a year or $99 a month (2,000 sent, 10,000 received a day). Every plan has unlimited addresses and domains (Micro: "almost unlimited" domains). From Migadu's pricing page, checked 14 Oct 2026.
What happens if I go over Migadu's daily limits?+
Migadu allows up to 25% over a plan's limit. Past that, it rejects outgoing messages and defers incoming ones until the next day or until you upgrade; storage limits are soft. That's from Migadu's own pricing FAQ.
Is Migadu cheaper than SuperMailOS?+
Often, for small teams that send little: Mini is $90 a year for the whole account and up to 100 sent messages a day. SuperMailOS Pro for three people is $108 a year billed yearly. With more people, or more sending than a tier allows, the per-mailbox price can come out lower. The email cost calculator runs the numbers for your team.
Does SuperMailOS limit how much I send?+
Your bill doesn't change with volume. Sending on a new domain is ramped up gradually (warm-up), and a burst of bounces or complaints pauses sending to protect everyone's reputation. It's business email for people, not a bulk or cold-email sender.
Can I migrate from Migadu?+
Yes. Add your domains and verify DNS (one-click on Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Hetzner DNS and Spaceship, guided copy-paste elsewhere), create a mailbox for each person, recreate role addresses as free aliases, copy your mail over IMAP, then point MX at us.
